Do you have a video on opening (setting) up an EBay store for the first time?

The amount some sellers charge for shipping is insane...

eBay benefits from scammer’s to the tunes of millions if not more annually. Don’t be misinformed.

There is a new scam, being tested, that sellers have no defense against. eBay was side with them 100% of the time. The seller will pretend they ship back the item, and give you a made-up tracking number in messages. You will never receive the item obviously, and the eventual negative feedback, will come stating that they return the item and never received a refund. The intentionally go outside of eBay label system, as i provide free returns, To avoid accountability. eBay does not care if they provide a real tracking number or not, they will side with that scammer every time.

If you provide free returns no questions asked, like I do, I consider every single negative feedback as extortion. That is 100% their only intent .

eBay sellers need to pool our resources to initiate talks with a large legal firm to look into a class action lawsuit against eBay. They no doubt are flying under the radar with serious, at minimum, neglect in the furtherance of retail theft.

It’s absolutely horrendous how eBay goes out of its way to protect scammers

Should i delete my sold listings on ebay or let them do it? The items are like one and done with no plans of restocking..

As a buyer , I've had more than a few sellers not ship the item and then attempt to make excuse after excuse to keep me from starting a case . A few were 10 feedback or less , but the majority had more . I always figure out how much time I have to start a case, then I stay polite and allow the seller as much time as possible , but if I don't have tracking info a week before the deadline , I let them know that I will have to start a case against them 24 hours before the deadline If I still receive no tracking or item by then .

Thanks for the great info! Question - why would you want to ship via priority or first class? Wouldn't you want to do standard as it is less expensive? Also, who usually pays for the shipping?

All this has happened to me, except the fake payment. If you have any problems with "buyers" just block them and move on.

I appreciate anyone making a video trying to help people....that really needs to be applauded....but...nothing is perfect and I am a witness to that.....international shipping sounds good and it is good but it's not without it's issues....even if ebay is doing the heavy lifting for you....and they are not always the same issues....all I'm saying is never just go with "this is magic and there are never going to be any problems" because you will get them with international shipping....so do not go into this thinking nothing will ever happen and it will always be roses and sunshine....because it will not....if you have a business you will have business issues and they are not always good....do not be naïve....approach it the same way you approach selling domestically and you will be fine....

I apologize if you already answered this but I am wondering what you use as a return address on your shipping label? Do I need to get a P.O. Box for potential returns?

Okay, so mines a little unique. After it was delivered I got a message saying “Hi! I didn’t receive a package even though it says delivered.” And then one day after he opens a dispute through eBay and says “Hey. I did receive an envelope but there was nothing side. And he took a picture of an empty envelope with the eBay shipping label shoddily taped on to it. I notice the envelope had small red letters stamped onto it that said “Received Without Contents”. 1.) I didn’t send an empty envelope, I sent a BOX with a 9 lb omnibus inside of it. Shouldn’t they have on file somewhere how much it weighed before they shipped it? 2.) I bought tape at USPS store and taped it in front of the lady. She even asked me if there was a book inside because I was shipping through Media Mail. I told her yes. She wouldn’t have asked me if I was mailing an empty envelope 3.) Who stamped that “Received Without Contents” on it. If it was USPS, wouldn’t that be on them? At what point did they know the contents were gone? And why did they deliver it like that. Personally I think he’s lying and ripped off my shipping label and taped it on an old envelope that actually had the “Without Contents” stamped on it. Do you think I have a chance? I know they have video of me shipping a BOX

Im still not eligible yet unfortunately, not sure when it becomes available. I've had this ebay account since 2016 with 100% positive feedback and just reached top seller status as of today. but only been selling for about 4 months. Maybe i will be eligible soon.

If you list a item on 'Buy It Now' for say £100 and turn on best offer then its fair to say you will get offers below your asking price (Very few would pay full price), so to factor this in. If for eg you must get £100 then either dont turn on best offer or list at £110 and accept best offers from £100 for eg. Best offer basically sends a flag up to the buyer to say "You dont need to pay full price here" in most cases.

Another perk of a auction is the seller has a degree of control over when the item sells (Day of week / time). This is particuarly useful if you are only able to get to a post office on a specific day of the week for eg or need items to sell when you have availability between your work schedule. Years ago i know they used to charge for 'Buy It Now' listings however i think its now free like auctions but not 100% sure.

I know stamps like you know lumber. I've been collecting and dealing them 70 years. It's all I sell on eBay. I see others listing penny stamps for 200...2000...10000 dollars and I know immediately they don't know what they're doing. It's laughable. You have to know what you are selling to avoid embarrassment.
